Song of the Sea Dortmunder

When our friends @seacreatures approached us about doing a dinner at @Westward, and also brewing an easy drinking lager that goes with…well just about everything, we thought it would be fun to take a shot at a Dortmund-style lager. We used crushed Summestone shells from our friends @hamahma to bump up the calcium carbonate in our water profile, along with a simple base of pilsner malt and some light hop additions of Hallertau Mittelfruh. The result is an easy drinking, crisp, and slightly minerally lager that stands on its own and is easily paired with  your favorite early fall meal or snack.  We recommend cracking a couple cans around the fire while shucking or grilling up a few dozen with friends, or having a tall pour while checking out any of the other @seacreatures  awesome locations.
