The Origin – West Coast IPA brewed in collaboration with Thrash Zone (Yokohama, Japan)Our friend Ken from Substation introduced us last year to Koichi, owner of Thrash Zone, when he was visiting during our 10th year anniversary. He quickly became one of our friends and we decided to make a beer together. A combination of pilsner malt, a touch of wheat, and a bit of carapils makes up the grist, and then we loaded it up with Simcoe, Mosaic, and a heavy hand of Idaho 7. We then dry hopped with a ridiculous amount of even more Idaho 7 and Mosaic. Huge Kanpai to Koichi and crew!
