Follow The Smoke is our take on a Fastenbier (fasting) or Lentbier. The shining example is brewed by one of our favorite breweries in Bamberg, Germany. A little lighter and less smoky than some of their other Rauchbiers, these are incredibly easy drinkers. Our version includes a base of traditional German Pilsner and Munich malt, along with Beechwood-smoked malt provided by our friends at Weyermann, located in the beautiful city of Bamberg. After an extended time in the lagering tank, the result is a beer that is full-bodied, malty, slightly smoky, and has a pleasant hop character.
